How do I make a shinny track surface? At the momemnt it just looks flat and doesn't change tone as you go round. I've got a white alpha on the *.dds. What am I doing wrong ?

thx in advance

Try take bump map from other track or make one.  Add into your material editor for that texture of road.

Thx for the reply I'll try that.. Didn't know bump controled the amount of light that reflects of the surface.

That worked, looks a lot better now, thanks much for the advice.

Do not know why GMotor say "bump map" in reality this is "normal map".  Direct vectors from model.

Yep, the terms get messed up. It is a normal map but ISI and many others call them bump maps.

BTW you'll get even better realism by also using a specular map. IMHO more important than the normal map.

Cheers!
