This is a bug report for two functions in 3D SimEd using the latest version.

Direct X Files:
- X file does not open when selected from the import menu.
- 3D SimEd does not start when X file is double-clicked.

Update SCN
- 3D SimEd assumes rFactor GMT extensions for all objects despite the actual extension.

Thanks for the reports.

.X files are opening on my system, I have imported a number from the DirectX SDK samples.

With the Update SCN: I cannot think of when the objects would not have .GMT extensions.

Cheers!

No problem.

Probably because everyone uses rFactor for both stock car and F1 racing over NASCAR SimRacing or EA's F1 2002.

Right click on any .x file, select properties, in the section 'Open With' click change and select 3dsimed, if you don't see 3dsimed in the list, browse to it.

3D SimEd shut down instantly. Something about it not being able to find the file I'm trying to open. I get that all the time when I open something in 3D SimEd by double-clicking. "Cannot find file" never happens when opened from within 3D SimEd though.
