There's a new version available that fixes problems with loading kn5 such as those from ACFL F1 2016 and VIR.

Follow this link for the download: http://www.sim-garage.co.uk

I can open my old Transfagarasan track but not my new one. Seem anything created in the newer KSeditor does not work for me. Could you look into this please?

Cheers,

The KsEditor I have is 512,000 bytes is dated 15th July 2016 and models exported from that version of KsEditor are imported by 3DSimED3. So have you a later KsEditor? was that part of the Porsche DLC?.

Cheers

Hi Dave,

No sorry i have the same version. What i was trying to get at was that my last released Transfagarasan track was made on the old version of kseditor. I can open this in 3dsimed. But any newer tracks I have tryed just make 3dsimed crash. I'm guess by the lack of replays from other people no one else is having this issue and most likely is on my end. I'm going to download 3dsimed again and the new plugin and try again.

Cheers,

DrDoomsLab.

Hi,

Quick update. I deleted my 3dsimed. Downloaded the newest version and the new AC plugin. And its still crashing. I managed to get ks_nordschleife.kn5 to load once when i unchecked "Keep Object Nesting". But the next time i tryed to load ks_nordschleife.kn5 it crashed and i have not been able to load it again with any options changed in any combo. I've no idear whats happening.

Cheers,

Hi,

Another update. I seem to have found my problem. The permissions control for the 3dsimed.EXE seems to have changed on my system somehow. I just clicked Allow Full control and it seems to be work fine now. Thanks again.

Cheers,

Hi there,

Here is even worse... I have just downloaded the new plugin for AC, installed in version F of 3DSimEd, and when tried to open a .FBX, .KN5 or even a .GMT file, I get the following message:

"Direct3D 9 does not support 32-bit Vertex Indices on this system Creation of D3D9 window stopped"

"Cannot find a suitable format Backbuffer Direct3D9 Rendering disabled" and 3dSimEd stops.

I tried to use the old plugin and the messages is still there, even with version E of 3DSimEd... any solution for that?? Because now I can not open anything in 3dSimEd...

Thanks and regards,

SchumiBCN.

Hi SchumiBCN,

Sorry i don't reconise your error but it sounds like it could be to do with your gfx drivers. I would recommend reinstalling you gfx drivers. Maybe use DDU to fully uninstall them first before reinstalling. I would also check DXdiag to see if that brings any thing to light.

Hope this helps but if your still having issues it might be useful for you to post your full spec of your system with os.

Hi DrDoomsLab,

Thank you very much for your reply!!!

I also had a reply from Dave pinting the same direction as you and you are right, I don't know how, but I had lost GPU drivers. I reinstalled them and everything is working fine again so, thanks mates!!!

Cheers,

SchumiBCN.

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've build a large 2 seater sim rig to real scale. I need to mod the Assetto car models so I can delete the A pillars and roof but leave the rear view mirror part of the model along with the hood and fenders.
I have been trying everything possible to do this in 3DsimED3, and I cannot figure out how to either make the changes stick or how to deconstruct models so I can get them back into AC without AC not accepting the model file.

Any help is appreciated. You can see the sim cockpit here. It is a 1 to 1 scale of a real Porsche GT3. Thanks for your help.

Can anyone help? :)

I don't know how to make changes to materials and sub objects and have it apply to the main object. I'm desperate here lol.

thanks

Use the Edit->Object By Name to select sub-objects which you should then be able to edit.

To alter the materials just use right-click which should select materials within sub-objects.

Cheers
