I'm having problems getting objects to reflect off a water surface, like the Monaco 1966 track. The first attempt I did on a new track was I copied the instances from the scene files that is:
AmbientColor=(222, 222, 226)
ReflectPlane=(0.000, -1.000, 0.000, 8.000) "
,and included the objects in IncludeIns=
as well as adding the line
"ReflectPlane=(0.000, -1.000, 0.000, 0.000)" in the first line of the instances of the objects selected for the reflections.
The first time I loaded back in 3dsimed after fixing the notepad, .scn, most of the objects selected did cast the reflections required. They even showed up in the game.
But there were some that didn't work. I tried just about all I could think of. But one thing I noticed was that the objects that you select in 3dsimed to alter its attributes such as to set "Reflected" to true, will not keep it's setting after exporting it.
Is this a problem with 3dsimed that is common?
Or can anyone know of any other cause where to find the problem. I would appreciate the help.
