TPSCC V 3.0

Image

Includes:
TPSCC v3.0
TPSCC Late Models v3.0
TPSCC NWS v3.0
TPSCC 2010 v3.0

This build will require either manually deleting all existing TPSCC files, or creating a new rFactor install.
I'll recommend a new install.

Easiest way to do this is to...
Delete your rfactor shortcut from the desktop.
Rename you current rFactor folder to something like rfactor80609.
Then run the rfactor installer.

This method gives you a fresh rfactor install and a new desktop shortcut.
All your old files remain in the rfactor80609 folder
It don't "cost" an activation.
- unless you are running a very early v1.255 build.

To do the "Delete" method:
Navigate to..
gamedata/vehicles/nationalstockcar
Delete the TPSCC08 folder.
(Note, back this folder up somewhere to save current skins, if you want to keep them archived to some reason)

Then navigate to...
rfactor/rfm
Delete all files named...
TPSCC_08, TPSCC_09, TPSCC10

You can then simply run the TPSCC 3.0 installer and the track installers.

Dozens of Fixes, Upgrades and Adjustments including
Fixed window textures.
Included fix for dx7 mode.
Updated the Pace SSR to get rid of the mirror texture so it doesn't get used in race mode.
Added 2009 Fusion.
New mirror option in the cockpit view (available as an upgrade, it's a narrow mirror for Brian).
Added two sided tape to the window, so the outside view and cockpit view can be painted separately.
Enhanced and/or corrected various 2d graphics, including the "Tigger" graphic.
Added driver to the cockpit view, as an upgrade option.
Added cutaway car option via a change in the .veh file.
Changed tape adjustments to 1% increments.
RFM Rules adjustments.

TPSCC V 2.0 Tracks :
These are tracks that have been continually upgraded over the past several seasons.
Fixes and updates too numerous to mention.
( I cant remember them all )
These tracks are optimized for league use.
AI performance seems to vary from machine to machine.
AI drafting should be possible at Jax BR and BRSuperspeedway with ai strength set to 110%

Vehicle templates located in:
Gamedata/vehichles/nationalstockcar/tpscc08 folder.

I used this method FWIW. Pretty much bullet proof.

To do the "Delete" method:
Navigate to..
gamedata/vehicles/nationalstockcar
Delete the TPSCC08 folder.
(Note, back this folder up somewhere to save current skins, if you want to keep them archived to some reason)

Then navigate to...
rfactor/rfm
Delete all files named...
TPSCC_08, TPSCC_09, TPSCC10

You can then simply run the TPSCC 3.0 installer and the track installers.

Like Wrangler, I also used the "delete" method with no problems at all. Similar to any custom skins/skinpacks, you may also want to copy and keep the contents of your "AddOns" folder to add them back in.

I also just allowed the tracks installers to overwrite existing files (didn't delete existing track files/folders first), and all appears to have gone well.

I think it's in his blood with the way he's always helping people with setups and driving techniques.

@ BR, SR: When 900 years you reach, look as good, you will not...

Folks, be sure and check out the NWS cars in this release. After fighting the flyin' brick, they are just pure pleasure to drive.

Two options here.

1. If you don't have any logos on the winglets, then you can use the attached TPSCC08Extra1.zip file. Extract it into your vehicle folder and change the name to match your main paintjob name plus Extra1.dds (example, if your main paintjob is "TPSCC08_CI_76.dds" then the attached Extra1 file should be "TPSCC08_CI_76Extra1.dds".

2. If you do have logos on the winglets or want to add them, then extract the photoshop template from TPSCC08_Extra1_Template.zip. The alpha channel is used to make thing visible (paint the alpha channel white where the logo is), or invisible (paint the alpha channel black where the windshield tape is). Then save the finished file as a dxt3 or dxt5 dds file and follow the instructions in option 1. above on naming and placing the file.

No worries. I'm getting the paintable stuff bundled up so that we can release all of the templates I've got ASAP. I'm just running a bit behind on that.

[smilie=banana.gif] Thanks guys. I greatly appreciate the hard work.
Should server people use the delete method? or is there another way to get it installed on our server?
