Yep, that's how I do it. Believe it or not, not even any of the devs have any of the 3d files in a format that would allow easy painting (such as in a carviewer or a 3dsMax scene). I've probably painted about 20 cars for NAGT now, and every one has been alt-tab using the game. It's really not a big deal once you know how to do it.

Actually, I got the cars from the links in the first post of this thread. It's no big deal for me because, as I said, I fixed the issue for myself but those cars will cause CTDs when they are used.

Another thing : is there a way to get a higher resolution mirror for the CTS or is there a setting I overlooked somewhere ? It seems to be rather lo-res at the moment.

Ummmm...there is a larger mirror that we posted awhile back, but have to see if I can find it. We went lo-res for the installer because so many people had problems. Any mirror file should do if you have one handy...

If you can figure out which cars you modified, let me know...

Here is a 2048x256 mirror that works really well. If it's too big a hit on FPS, then scale it down with a power of 2x.

rename to mirror.bmp and place in this directory:

\GameData\Vehicles\NAGT

I just made a new full install. Added NAGT, hires carset,BR2009 and BR2009 extras.
When I go into the vehicle mode to select and choose BR2009 and select any of the
Cadillacs I get an error "error loading mesh file unknown_token_reward to memory".
Only in the BR2009 carset. All other Cadillacs are OK.

That sounds a bit like the problem I was refering to.

The cars that use the BR09_CTS_upgrades file are :

CTS_27
CTS_84
CTS_95

and all are in the BR1000_09 directory.

If you change their VEH files to use CTS_upgrades.ini they will work fine. You could also copy CTS_upgrades.ini to BR09_CTS_upgrades.ini in the BR1000_09 directory and it will probably work.

CTS\CTS_Upgrades.ini

Did the trick. All the other CTS cars use that. The upgrade path for those cars
were completely different than all the rest.

scca1981 is talking about the NAGT v1.4 download from the Pits main page. If you go into the rF mods and try to download NAGT you get a 404 Not Found error.
