Spence, you are good.

Everyone, posted an update, paints are optional, but you do need to make sure that I get it before Friday evening.

Cheers!

My DDS is 2 MB zipped. That's too large for the forums, correct?

Since the server has skin sharing, it should be on it, and probably your machine as well. Mine will most likely show up as "_-2759_alt_13.dds". "alt_13.dds" being my file and the first bit involving my unique I.D.

Red Weasels have been on the server as well, our paints have been loaded as well.

...under his breath... even with the '69 wide, these cars are a handful... and that barbwire fence is like velcro.

We will probably set the damage down a little lower. We'd rather have people finish the race & have fun then crash out early...

 I don't see me making the race today. Having been out of town since Tuesday I just never got enough practice in to learn the track. Can't imagine I'd make it through 1 lap and I have to leave before the end anyway. Sorry I'm going to miss it.....everyone have fun!

Congratulations to all that survived.

Well done John!

Thanks again for the race.

If you get a chance can you post the server replay? I turned replay off to save cpu cycles. I love to see how fast I was going when I teleported. :embarrass:

Excellent job, John. Great job by the podium...Spencer & Andrew!

I'll post the server replay as soon as I get it, or I can upload my copy.

Thanks, guys. I ran the type of race for which I thought was the only way for me to win, and it worked.

I think Andrew should get the Heart of a Competitor Award or, more to the point, Pure Cussedness Award. Take a look at his lap eleven. Most people would have quit the race. I probably would have. He didn't. Jan and Kyle should get honorable mention for a similar reason. Kyle also made use of the railroad tracks.

There are train tracks?

Are you sure that isn't con-cussedness award?
If it is anything like the The Robin Goodman Spirit of the Race Award, I'll take it! :toast:
I remember this much from L11...eyes burning...Oh look eyedrops behind my monitor, I think---I. can. get. them. on this straight, [lp to bridge, one to beam up] why is my car purple?! OH NO! [frantically hits enter] Then I got really dizzy and had no clue where I was. Turns out I spun behind the "village chicane". I was behind a fence, but it was only a divider. Got it going to just about find the field I call purgatory. Luckily only found myself stuck in a ditch rather than over a fence. Proceeded to high side it at least twice trying to get out of the ditch before I figured out reversing back up the hill worked best. FWD FTW! Steering was off by 15° and it was crabbing hard, tried to nurse it back quickly. At one point found myself on the roof. Tried to nurse it back slowly. Fortunately this happened far enough into the race where I could just fill it up and not stop again. 240 seconds of pit time, a bio break,& 1 drink refill later I was 2 Laps down and on my way. Finish or die trying. Podium is bitter sweet as it came at the misfortune of Chris and James. So much heartbreak in this race. Got a nice photo out of it from Spencer:
