Ok... I have looked at every tutorial for this thing and It still doesn't fix my banking problem.... They all tell me to Unlock All Geometry, right click on a X-Section, check Most Absolute, and open the Height Views window, and i should get a white box. But i dont have that!!! :hatecomp:

Can anybody help me!?!?!!? I am trying to make Riverhead Raceway, which was my Hometrack for over 10 Years as a kid!

Right click anywhere on the overhead view that's not occupied by track geometry and click unlock geometry.

Then left click on the desired X Section and you'll see two nodes on that X Section. One at the head of the segment and one at the tail of the segment. If the node is white, then the "Mode Absolute" is selected for that node. If it's grey, then that node is not "Mode Absolute." To select "Mode Absolute," you should not right click on the X Section, but rather, the node itself. Nodes appear as white or grey squares at either end of the selected track segment.

Top menu bar, click "View -> Height View."

The left frame is looking at the track from the right side of the centerline. The right frame is looking down the centerline. In the top-down view, click on the X Section you want to bank, then in the Heights view, go to the frame on the right and you'll see the selected node highlighted by an arrow. Left click that node and drag it. It'll only move straight up and down. Zoom in for precision banking.

EDIT:
To make a banking transition take up multiple segments, select "Mode Forward/Back" on the nodes between the two ends of the transition. I also recommend taking a close look at the stock tracks for examples on how to bank the track and how to set the boundaries of a banking/transition.

Go to "View -> Track Surface Decal View" or "View -> Object Placement View." Your decals/objects should be in the "shared/" or "<trackname>/" directories. Decals are in the MIP format, objects are in the 3DO format. A new window will appear when you activate those views and you add the objects like adding a track segment and edit the objects just like editing a drive-able surface or a wall. Same with decals. You put decals on the walls by adding "texture segments" to the walls, not by using the surface decal view.

You add a decal/object by right clicking anywhere on the overhead view and click "Add New Object" or "Add New Decal." A window will appear so you can select the decal/object you want to place.
