Ok, I have my track laid out...all materials are in place and it curves and all that fun stuff.

I can do banking if I loft an object, but how do I do it using boxes and planes and such?

*EDIT* I can bank a whole section, but I only want to bank half of it say?

Any info out there for such a thing?

Appreciate it

Jonathan

You will need to move the "gizmo" tool to where you want the bend to take place if you are working with a cross section.

before you bend the corner on the section that needs banking, apply a ffd box modifier, under set number of points, set to the number of control points you think are appropriate. lattice and source volume should be both checked. and deform - all vertices should be checked. you can now move individual control points to the desired height. or can drag the mouse around groups of control points. you're not confined to just moving the control points up and down, you can rotate pairs or more to get the desired angle of banking.

with that done, you can now bend the section.

hope that helps. thats just one way of doing it. someone may have other ways. the above explaination sounds more complex than it is. once you've done it a few times, its quite easy.

cheers
