Hello all,
I have converted a track from rFactor to GTR2 with permission but there is a fork in the track, i want to force people to go the same way by putting a lorry or banner in the road, ive managed to position the object where i want it then i update scene so it is saved in my .trk file.

My problem is that when i reload the .trk in 3dSimEd the object that i positioned myself has vanished, do i have to make a new instance of this object?

Any help please

Thankyou

Did you make sure you used the File->Update Scene command?

Cheers!

most new objects are saved to the last line of output.scn/trk file.you need to cut and paste them into tracks. :P

Just to be sure:-

1) .trk using 3DSimED

2) Added object in SimED

3) Saved using File->Save As GTR2 .GMT -> Save Objects

4) Updated scene with File-> Update Scene

That should be all you have to do, although if it's a new object with new materials you may also have to make sure you save the textures to your GTR2 track folder.

Cheers!

Thankyou Dave

Its actually a duplicate of an existing object im just tying to move the duplicate to a new location in the .trk view.

Ill try what you said at the weekend, one more question though im trying to move the duplicate onto the road surface is there be any problem in putting objects directly onto the road as oppose to the grass for example?

Thankyou
