In nr2003 you can change the tracks that you race at, is this able to be done in Rfactor?? And if so, what files where?? I am interested in changing the season for cart 2006.....also, I have downloaded the Indy track from this website and cannot figure out where to load it to, all your other tracks self load, this one does not....Thanks in advance!!

I hate to say it, but the offline season tracker in rFactor leaves a great deal to be desired. That being said, here are 3 options:

1. Run the races as stand alone races, open up the results files and build a spreadsheet to track your season. There may even be a program that does this for you.

2. If you are never going to race online, you can edit the .RFM file to put in whichever tracks you like. Back up the original RFM before making edits.

3. Do a google search for .AOS files. AOS stands for Add On Season and you can edit it any way you want and it will not cause mismatches.

As for where to put race tracks... Copy the entire directory over to rfactor\gamedata\locations\

Just create a new rfm from the series you are racing. You can then call it anything you want and add any track you want.

Cheers!

Try this:

I haven't used it in a while so I don't remember if it'll backup the rFm so you may want to do that on your own to be on the safe side. But this lets you take a variety of things (cars, tracks, pacecars) and combine them into one season/championship.

The rFm files will be in the rFm folder (which is in the main rFactor folder). Find the one corresponding to the mod you want to change. To manually change the championship look for the "Season=(Season Name Will Be Here)". The first few lines will have explanations what they are. The next section is SceneOrder. This is where you will add tracks. The name listed should be the same name as the TrackName.SCN that you want. You can find those in the track's folder inside the Locations folder. Just save it and you should be good.

However, I am pretty sure this would cause mismatches if you planned on racing online which is why you should make a backup first. Other than making a backup the CTDP Championship Manager will do all of the above for you. It also making sure the SCN name in correctly (which helps a ton).
