3DSimED 3.1j is released.

There are many improvements to working with imports from Forza Apex and Horizon 3 cars. Many of the secondary textures are now imported, the positioning of wheels is better, material handling re-written and LOD detection improved.

You will also find enhancements to the Collada DAE and FBX Export as well as a large number of other extensions and fixes.

Thanks, now corrected... thankfully, it was only the About that was wrong but I know how confusing that can be.

Cheers!

it doesn't import the right headlight glass when i import the whole model using the carbin https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B19Ad ... WRIdUtqaE0 // but the glass itself works: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B19Ad ... zVnSEhSSEE

Thanks for the latest version. Just a question, when i open a gmt (rf2) on that is an animation used, the animation type is automaticly resetted to "random". Is it as designed or a bug?

//Edit: Hm...after i have resetted it to the usual used animation type and reloaded it again into 3dSimED, it keeps the setting..strange.

//Edit2: i cant use gmt`s with animation, when they were stored with version "j". Animation are shown wrong. E.g. a tire shows all animation and disappears then. I has to revert to version "i" to get them working again.

hello Dave, i think there's a bug in 3.1j version, MIRROR shader for rFactor 2 doesn't work. In game you see the bmp texture.

Thanks

i've found another bug on the centenario model. It seems like the scaling of the material (highlighted blue) isn't correct: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B19Ad ... UkwUEtycTA

This is a difficult one to fix because there are different glass objects with the same name used for the front and back - there might be little that can be done.

Cheers

The naming of the Animation Type is wrong (Random swapped with Event) but everything else is working as far as I can tell.

Cheers

Thanks for the report, have a fix for this and other problems when a sub-mesh is wrongly scaled with Forza Apex/FH3 models.

Cheers

finally a tool of which the author actually takes care about. Not like some other tool which just got one update and that's it. Thank you!
