Main changes from the 2008 version :
- Goals :
- To maintain the original Bullrun track reputation of a fast and dangerous racecourse
- To help racers to finish the race even if they make a small mistake
- To represent a track that is actually being run in Colorado in November
- New snow texture & material that simulates the traction of snow
- New runoff area on the outside/inside of T1/T2
Main changes from the 2007 version :
- Goals :
- To maintain the original Bullrun track reputation of a fast and dangerous racecourse
- To help racers to finish the race even if they make a small mistake
- Safety zones and pushed back walls
- To punish small mistakes by slowing the cars down
- Grass between the running surfaces and the safety zones
- To offer more areas to overtake slower cars
- To lessen the risk of mishap from coming in/out of the pits
- After nearly 500 hours of editing :
- New pit lane
- Progressive entrance before "All or nothing" corner
- Progressive exit at the middle of the front straight
- Wider pit area
- Garages, toolbox and adverts linked to cars paints
- T1 :
- New curbs
- New safety zone on the exterior
- T2 :
- Grass and sand surfaces with the same banking as the turn (GT40 Steven got stuck there in 2007)
- New safety zone on the exterior
- T3 :
- Pushed back the rock hill and the rock wall (now an armco) to open the visibility for this blind corner
- "Caroussel" :
- Walls pushed back on the outside
- New safety zone extending to the bottom of the "Outer Loop" hill
- "Outer loop" :
- Removed the kink on the left (braking zone) side of the track leading to the Sweeper
- T9 "Sweeper" :
- Pushed back the outside wall on the exit (new running surfaces)
- Added new perpendicular to the track concrete walls and fences
- T10 "Switchback" :
- New safety zone on the outside
- Bridge :
- Straightened the path under the bridge
- Removed the bump
- Added concrete walls and fences
- T11 : New combination of T11-T12
- T11 is a reversed Montreal hairpin
- T12 is a smooth constant radius corner critical for "All or nothing" and main straight speed
- "All or nothing" :
- Removed the upper lane banking difference
- New perpendicular to track concrete walls and fences
- Pushed back the outside wall on exit
- Main straight :
- Pushed back the outside wall
- New safety zone
- Various :
- Curbs are pushed back beyond the white lines
- All walls and armcos follow a "natural" path aroud the track
- Inside/Outside hills are now fully integrated with the surroundings and can be ridden
- Graphics :
- New or edited textures
- New or edited shaders setups
- Smaller memory load shadows
